Miata Update

Here's a couple pictures of the Miata gutted with the roll bar in. Next job is to take out the air conditioning components and convert the power steering to manual. Also put the dash board back in the car. The red is a picture I took of the door. The picture doesn't do the color justice, just a tease of what the car will be.

Mazda Miata

So I've been helping my neighbor in his garage in my spare time. Installing software on his computers, helping on his dynomometer.

A few weeks ago he asks me if I ever have raced go carts. I say sure. He then asks if I have any interest in getting my race car driving licence. I'm thinking hell yea. He's building a Miata to race and if I help him out I can drive it. Well at least just to get my licence. But he says that he isn't really interested in driving it all that much, so maybe I'll get to go fast.

I'm going to update the progress here in case anyone is interested. We gutted the interrior and striped down the rest of the car over the last couple weeks and sent it out to have a roll cage installed.


We've got it back since then with the roll cage, and it looks good. Next step is to re-install the dash and send out the rest of the car for painting.
